Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials hold great promise for advanced electronic and optical applications. The reliability of these materials is critical to fulfilling their potential. Since it is extremely challenging to transfer and test the atomically thin layer of 2D materials. I have used a novel in-situ quantitative tensile testing platform that enables the uniform in-plane loading of a freestanding membrane of 2D materials inside a scanning electron microscope (SEM), facilitated by a newly developed “dry transfer” method. The in-situ experiments can reveal the real-time deformation and fracture processes in monolayer 2D materials, including MoSe2, MoS2, h-BN, and rebar graphene.

楊穎超現(xiàn)為緬因大學(xué)機(jī)械工程系助理教授,,博士生導(dǎo)師,。楊教授分別在武漢科技大學(xué)材料與冶金學(xué)院及哈爾濱工業(yè)大學(xué)材料科學(xué)工程學(xué)院獲得本科及碩士學(xué)位,并在南卡羅萊那大學(xué)機(jī)械工程系獲得博士學(xué)位,。楊教授在萊斯大學(xué)完成三年博士后研究工作后于2017年8月入職緬因大學(xué),。楊教授在低維納米材料的制備,材料的機(jī)械及物理性能表征,,納米結(jié)構(gòu)設(shè)計(jì)方面有著豐富的工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)和研究成果,。楊教授現(xiàn)已發(fā)表50余篇學(xué)術(shù)論文,其中包括Nature Energy,,Scientific Reports,Advanced Materials,,Advanced Energy Materials,,Angewandte Chemie International Edition,Nano Letters,,ACS Nano等期刊,,總引用2200余次。楊教授現(xiàn)擔(dān)任Journal of Nanomaterials學(xué)術(shù)編委以及Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids,,Materials Today,,Carbon,Chemical Communications,,International Journal of Fracture,,Journal of Materials Chemistry A,Small等25個(gè)雜志的審稿人,。楊教授還多次參與美國(guó)國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金材料與結(jié)構(gòu)力學(xué)項(xiàng)目評(píng)審工作,。
